The Role:

The Head Showroom Chef will work within the Culinary team and Showroom team to bring the learnings and cooking acumen from corporate directly to our customers via the Brava showroom. You will serve as the culinary face of the product, preparing and serving customer demonstrations and showing off the culinary power of the product to the public. You will also have the opportunity to work with a team of talented chefs to integrate your thoughts into new, artfully crafted recipes.

 

Things you’ll own/do:

  • Oversee all food operations including preparation, ordering, food inventory management and demonstrations in the Brava Showroom

  • Prepare, portion and weigh foods for customer demonstrations of product

  • Manage all demo recipes and add or remove recipes as necessary

  • Provide feedback to corporate regarding customer feedback and preferred foods / demonstrations

  • Train new Showroom staff in how to artfully demonstrate the product and food to customers

  • Educate the Culinary staff and cross-functional teams with your findings

  • Collaborate with Culinary, Product, Software and Hardware Engineering team members to address any issues related to the product that you see in the showroom

 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3-5 years “back of house” experience in restaurant kitchens

  • Deep passion for customer service, cooking, food science, and helping others

  • An effective communicator who can speak to customers concisely about the culinary power of the Brava and how it can fit into their lives and homes

  • Meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness

  • Formal training in food safety and safe food handling practices. Ability to implement FIFO practices for all foods

  • Desire to enhance his or her skills in customer service

 

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in the food & wine industries

  • Sales experience of a product in a technology retail setting

  • A background in the sciences or engineering, traditional or food-related
